On Tuesday 13 August, in association with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, we announced the two winners of the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award 2024:

for Halving it smaller and smaller

for Whaling
A huge congratulations to Harriet and Wendy! They will split the £20,000 prize, which rewards outstanding promise with financial support to aid the development of a poetry collection. The three runners-up – Charles Lang, Gabriel Levine Brislin, and Dan Power – will each receive £500 to congratulate them on their achievement. We’re so excited to see what the future holds for this fantastic cohort.
Thank you once again to our judging panel – Niall Campbell, Rody Gorman, Esraa Husain, Iona Lee, Éadaoín Lynch, Ellen Renton and Samuel Tongue – for the time and commitment they dedicated to this year’s award. A special thank you to Michael Pedersen for hosting our special event at the Edinburgh Book Festival, and to Nasim Rebecca Asl, Colin Bramwell, Titilayo Farukuoye and Roseanne Watt, for helping us to celebrate 10 years of the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award with their wonderful performances.
