A Home in Space:
Selected Concrete, Visual and Sound Poetry
Pre-order a copy from Reaktion Books

Edited by Greg Thomas and Julie Johnstone, this volume brings together, for the first time, the full range of Edwin Morgan’s visual and sound poetry – from vibrant poster poems and surrealist collages to concrete poetry, cut-ups and poem-sculptures. It reveals Morgan as a major figure in twentieth-century multimedia art, linking language, image and sound in surprising and timely ways. Attuned to questions of identity, ecology and empire, Morgan’s work remains as urgent and inventive as ever – a celebration of poetic form at its most expansive and alive.

A Home in Space:
exploring Edwin Morgan’s concrete poetry
Sunday 15 March, 11am–12pm, online.

To mark the release of A Home in Space, Greg and Julie will be holding an interactive online workshop at this year’s StAnza festival. Sharing unpublished and rarely seen visual materials from Morgan’s experimental practice, they will guide participants through Morgan’s speculative work, which accesses the non-human experiences of animals, computers and extra-terrestrials as a way into new creative territories.
