On Tuesday 18 August, in association with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, we announced the two winners of the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award 2026:

A huge congratulations to Tom and Zainab! They will share the £20,000 prize, which recognises their exceptional promise and provides financial support towards the development of a poetry collection. The four runners-up – Emmett Coleman, Flora Leask Arizpe, Kate Millar and Caitlin Palmer – will each receive £500 in recognition of their achievement. We’re so excited to see what comes next for these outstanding poets.
